Charles first began working on Hydraze in 2017 when he was a sophomore at the University of Maryland. During his time at UMD, he pursued two patent applications, fundraised over $25,000 in non-dilutive funding, and won the Do Good Challenge in 2019 and the Pitch Dingman Competition in 2022.

Charles now works on Hydraze full time in both business and engineering capacities. Charles has developed and installed Hydraze products at the University of Maryland and at Nationals Park. Outside of work, Charles is an avid baseball fan and dog lover.
